We’re now nearly a third of the way through 2019, but we’d like to take a few moments and recognize the significant contributions made by members of our growing real estate team during the last calendar year.
It was an exciting 12 months to be sure, even by the high standards we always set for ourselves here at the Oldfather Group. The one minute video below hits on some of the highlights, so please take a moment and check it out.
With two dozen of the coastal region’s most highly trained and knowledgeable real estate agents, as well as several full-time staff members in key positions, we continue to rank as one of the top real estate firms in the coastal region in several categories. All together, we boast more than 250 years of combined real estate experience within the confines of the Oldfather Group.
One of our proudest moments in 2018 was being named one of the top real estate firms in the country, again landing on the “REAL Trends America’s Best Real Estate Professionals” listing.
Sponsored by REAL Trends and Adwerx, this prestigious award ranks the most productive agents by state and metropolitan areas based on closed transaction sides and closed volume.
But while awards like that are great and certainly make us feel good, what makes us happiest is hearing from clients who are happy with what we think is the best customer service experience at the Delaware and Maryland beaches. We represented 218 buyers in 2018, many of whom took the time out of their busy schedules to leave us five-star reviews on Zillow.Com.
We can now say we have nearly 350 five-star ratings on the popular national website, and we’re very grateful to everyone who left us feelings of goodwill at the conclusion of their real estate buying or selling experiences.
We also continued to be one of the top listing firms in the region for 2018, with 117 homes that were personally listed by the Oldfather Group being sold during the calendar year. And we don’t just list them, we market them extensively, which is a big reason why our listings in 2018 sold for an average of 103.8 percent of listing price.
Our sellers love to hear that! It’s just another part of the Oldfather Group experience, of which we’re very proud to offer our clients every single day of the year.
We completed 335 transactions in 2018, nearly one for every single day of the year. And we’re hoping to hit the 365 mark this year, so stay tuned!
Lastly, we did achieve a couple of long-time goals in 2018 by extending our services into coastal Maryland and northern Delaware, as well as opening our Milton branch of Motto Mortgage Prosperity.
Opening a mortgage arm allows us to also offer mortgage services to clients purchasing properties at the Delaware and Maryland beaches. It’s another part of our customer service plan, and one we had been eyeing for some time.
All things considered, 2018 was a banner year for all of us here at the Oldfather Group. And here’s hoping for even bigger and better things during the rest of 2019.
