The weekend of April 27-28 will be a busy one around coastal Delaware, with the Oldfather Group of Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty hosting a large selection of open house events throughout the region.
There are seven events in total for the OG’s latest “Open House Weekend” event, where we showcase some of the finest properties currently on the market throughout southern Delaware.
If you’re searching for a home at or near the Delaware beaches, this is a perfect time to get outside and take a look at this wonderful sampling of homes, any of which could be yours.
We’d love to have you stop by and say hello, as our agents will be out and about this weekend in force.
Here’s where we’ll be on the weekend of April 27-28…
Enjoy close proximity to Rehoboth Bay in one of the coastal region’s finest gated communities, while also savoring gorgeous sunsets and the convenience of one-level living at this elegant home in the “Nation’s Summer Capital” of Rehoboth Beach.
Features of this home in the Sawgrass South community include gleaming oak flooring throughout, a great room with cozy gas fireplace for relaxing and enjoying a beverage on those cold winter nights and a chef’s kitchen with large center island and granite countertops.
This coastal home, located at 21194 Riviera Way in Rehoboth Beach, will be open on Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Next up on Saturday’s Open House calendar is an inviting townhome located in historic Milton. Located at 204 Grist Mill Drive, this property is nestled in the Cannery Village community and will be open on Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
This spacious three bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom townhome features a flow through floor plan that includes formal living and dining rooms and an eat-in kitchen with an abundance of natural light.
Accentuated outdoors by an inviting picket fence, the property also features flexible rooms that can be used as office space, or guest rooms, as well as vaulted ceilings, a two-car garage and much more.
We head to the community of Sandy Beach for our third open house event of the weekend, and to this inviting Cape Cod located at 225 Sandy Beach Drive.
Enjoy the water views from the hot tub in this cozy Cape Cod home, located in the enclave of Sandy Beach. Nestled on a covered deck on the top level, the hot tub looks out onto the community pier, which affords easy water access to the Indian River Bay.
Features of this classic home include a kitchen with breakfast bar, a vaulted ceiling great room, a dining room, an upstairs loft and a spacious owner’s suite.
We head to nearby Millsboro for Open House event number four on Saturday, and to this showcase property located at 292 Pond Road.
This home rests on nearly three-fourths of an acre just minutes from Delaware’s most popular beach resorts and features a tranquil backyard oasis that you’ll never want to leave, especially during the coastal region’s warm weather season.
Boasting a heated swimming pool and enough mature landscaping to give you as much privacy as you could ever want, the outdoor areas of this home are ideal for entertaining family and friends and for letting children run free during the spring and summer months.
But when you’re done frolicking poolside and need to head indoors, other features of this more than 2,800-square-foot home include a formal dining room, an expansive kitchen with breakfast bar, a first floor bedroom and an owner’s suite on the second floor.
This spacious home will be open on Saturday, April 27, from 12 to 3 p.m., hosted by the Oldfather Group’s Julie Seymour.
An energy efficient ranch home, located at 22467 John J. Williams Highway in Lewes, is our next featured property this Saturday, April 27. It will be open for public viewing from 12 to 3 p.m.
This four bedroom, three bathroom home rests on nearly an acre of southern Delaware land and features a full basement that’s accessible from both the inside and the outside of the home.

This coastal Delaware home will be open to the public from 12 to 3 p.m. this Saturday, April 27. Your host is the Oldfather Group’s Diana Harbert.
Our final home open for public viewing this Saturday is located at 30839 Park Terrace, in the Ridings at Rehoboth community in Lewes.
This one-level home is just minutes from downtown Lewes, as well as both both Rehoboth and Lewes beaches and an abundance of shopping and dining options.
Features of this three bedroom, two bathroom home include a spacious owner’s suite, a formal dining room, a kitchen with granite countertops and breakfast bar, a great room and a light-filled morning room that leads to the outdoor paver patio.
Our last open house event of this final weekend of the month will take place on Sunday, April 28, at 219 Abbott Park Lane in Lewes.
This newly built home is just a short stroll away from all of the shops and restaurants on Second Street in historic Lewes, as well as the scenic Lewes-Rehoboth Canal and beautiful Lewes Beach.
Nestled in the quiet community of Abbott Park downtown, this three bedroom, one-and-a-half bathroom cottage was designed to be maintenance free, from the open floor plan to the new kitchen appliances and the striking Spanish-style flooring.
The prime location of this home also affords options when it comes to visiting neighboring Rehoboth Beach, without having to drive onto busy Route 1. Instead, take a leisurely bike ride through Cape Henlopen State Park or hop on the Cape Water Taxi for your trip to the “Nation’s Summer Capital.”
Well, that does it for our extensive list of open houses scheduled for this final weekend of April.
Please come out and see us if you can. We’ve love the opportunity to say hi and tell you all about some of the fantastic properties currently on the market here in coastal Delaware.
Have a great weekend everyone!
