The Oldfather Group of Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty, with offices in Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach and Lewes, is the top real estate firm in Sussex County for 2015 in terms of buyer-represented sales.
The firm, led by chief executive Dustin Oldfather and chief financial officer Mariya Oldfather, recorded 165 buyer sales in the last calendar year, which is tops in Sussex County according to data obtained by the county’s Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
The company also recorded 208 real estate sales for the year, ranking second in Delaware’s southernmost county. “We’re sincerely grateful for the year we had in 2015 and we hope to continue the momentum we’ve built over the remainder of 2016 and beyond,” said Dustin Oldfather. “We’re fortunate that our purpose of improving the lives of others through our style of real estate service has attracted the area’s top real estate professionals and key personnel here at the Delaware beaches. It’s my job to continue improving our systems and training, as well as offering the tools necessary for them to succeed in their careers and share their lives with the clients we are so fortunate to serve.”
The more than 200 sales recorded by the Oldfather team accounted for more than $62 million in volume, which also ranks among the top firms in Delaware in that all-important category. Dustin and Mariya Oldfather credit much of their team’s success with the extraordinary amount of coaching and support given to agents and staff over the last 12 to 24 months. Last year, the firm announced it had been selected to participate in the exclusive Tom Ferry Coaching Program, joining just 74 other real estate firms throughout the United States.
Additionally, the responsibility for in-house training and support for all agents falls to Chief Buyer Consultant Adam Linder, who joined the Oldfather Group in 2012 and has helped build the winning team that currently graces the firm’s Rehoboth Beach Avenue offices.
“I’m of course just a small part of our success, but I couldn’t be happier with the team we’ve built and the heights we’ve reached in just a few short years,” said Linder, a resident of Rehoboth Beach. “We have something really special here in coastal Delaware and I can’t wait to see what happens next for our team and for our industry.”
Top Oldfather Group agents for 2015 include Celia Benjamin, who recorded more than 30 sales in just her second full year in the industry, as well as Nancy Capps and Jamie Haldas, who both recorded more than 20 sales during the last calendar year.
The Oldfather Group was founded in 2004 and specializes in real estate sales throughout coastal Delaware, including Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island.
